Robyn Barden

Robyn started with the Australian Cobotics Centre in July 2022 and supports UTS researchers and activities in the Centre.
Robyn is inspired by talented researchers and innovators in engineering, science and technology. With more than 25 years of experience as a STEM communicator and educator, she has worked with various institutions and organisations, including UTS, CSIRO, Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) and NSW secondary schools.
In more recent years, Robyn made a lateral career move to research administration, synthesising her communication skills with operations management at the University of Technology Sydney.
As Centre Coordinator at the School of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering (MME), Robyn manages and supports the administrative and collaborative activities of staff and students at the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing, Centre for Audio, Acoustics and Vibration, and the Robotics Institute.
Before joining MME, Robyn provided administrative and promotional support for the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute and the Centre for Quantum Software and Information at UTS.
Robyn has a Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University, a Graduate Diploma in Education from Macquarie University, and a Graduate Certificate in Journalism from the University of Technology Sydney. With a natural curiosity, she enjoys finding out more about her related research areas and embraces the practice of lifelong learning.
