Event Details
The Australian Cobotics Centre teamed up with Weld Australia to present a webinar on the 29th November on how collaborative robots work and showcase the benefits for your business and employees.
Funded by the Australian Research Council, the Australian Cobotics Centre brings together industry partners (including Weld Australia) and researchers from leading Australian and international universities to develop the skills and expertise needed to apply and implement collaborative robotics technology. At its simplest, a cobot is a robotic arm that is safe for humans to work with in the same space.
Collaborative robotics will benefit Australian companies, especially small businesses (who will win on process innovation and lower costs), manufacturing workers (whose jobs will become safer and higher-skilled), and the economy (through the growth of jobs and exports).
In this interactive session, the Centre’s researchers explained how collaborative robots work and showcase the benefits for your business and employees.
Following this, there was a Q & A Session. Attendees had the opportunity to talk to our robotics and future of work experts. We talked about the challenges you have, the stage you are at and anything that might stop you from implementing Cobotics in your organisation.
