Amir Asadi

Amir is a Visiting PhD researcher working with the Designing Socio-technical Robotic Systems at QUT. While he is based at the QUT, Amir concurrently continues his PhD journey at the School of Cybernetics at the Australian National University. Amir holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and dual Master’s degrees in Control Theory and Applied Cybernetics. With over five years of experience, Amir has worked extensively in robotics, medical systems, and automotive technologies. His current research centres on designing collaborative robots and AI-enabled systems in healthcare, with a strong focus on their adoption and application.

Thesis Title

A socio-technical approach to healthcare technology development and implementation

Start date: July 2021
Expected end date: September 2025

This project is based at The Australian National University (ANU) and Amir has a fully funded scholarship via ANU. 

This project identifies the barriers, enablers, and stakeholder perspectives shaping technology adoption to inform the development and implementation of healthcare technologies and  generate practical recommendations for technology designers, aiming to create safe healthcare solutions.
