Anthony is a PhD candidate with the QUT and the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Hub (ARM Hub). His thesis entitled: Augmented Fabrication: An Industry 4.0 XR Framework for Australian Custom Manufacturers explores how augmented/mixed (AR/MR), and virtual reality (VR) technologies can enhance Australian manufacturers’ design-to-fabrication capabilities. He has undertaken several academic and research assistant roles with QUT and is a DERT HDR group facilitator and Industry Chair for the SIGCHI Brisbane chapter. As an Industrial Designer, Anthony has led national and international advanced manufacturing projects across automotive, AEC, product design and robotics and provides design services through anthonyfranze.com.
