Bochao Xu

Bochao Xu is a PhD candidate at the University of Technology Sydney in the School of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, supervised by Dr Matthias Guertler. His primary research is on Industry 4.0 technology adoption for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He is also interested in studying cobot adoption in relation to other Industry 4.0 technologies, capabilities, and organisational changes.
Bochao received Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, majoring in mechatronic engineering and business strategy and economic management.
Before current research, Bochao worked as robotics engineer in the manufacturing industry and backend engineer in the AI industry. He has teaching experience in Axiomatic Design and discrete event simulation. He is also experienced in mobile application development using the Ionic-React framework.
