Dr. Hafizah Binti Ramli

Dr Hafizah Binti Ramli is an Associate Professor in Structural Engineering in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at QUT. Hafizah is passionate in sustainable materials for circular building and construction. Her research work includes development of design strategies in buildings and infrastructures such as prefabrication and precast structures, recycled building materials, efficient and high strength steel-concrete composite structures, fibre reinforced polymer composites and fire protection materials. Her research on green concrete with recycled glass and waste tyre aggregates combined with supplementary cementitious materials has contributed to suitable solutions to overcoming challenges of glass and tyres waste in Australia and reduce the carbon emissions. She is a member of Engineers Australia, technical committee member of Standards Australia Committee BD062 and Professional Engineers of Board of Engineers Malaysia.
