Philipp Bauer

Philipp is a visiting Researcher with the Australian Cobotics Centre from Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences. Philipp is based at UTS for 6 months to work on his Master’s thesis and research project on designing safe cobot systems.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Engineering with a focus on Information Technology from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. Following this, he started the master’s program in industrial engineering with a focus on simulation at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences.
During his studies he worked in the Advanced Development department of a German automotive lightning supplier. Whilst there, he wrote his bachelor thesis about an approach to solve the correspondence problem in the automotive field by combining a stereo camera and an IR-structured light.
